Installing
Tea Time Linea Algebra's requirements for use of SageMath can easily be met by SageMathCell or a free CoCalc account. Installing SageMath on your machine strictly for use with Tea Time Linear Algebra may be overkill, but if you are interested to know more, see the SageMath website.
Source
The source for this project includes LyX, Sage, GeoGebra, LibreOffice spreadsheets, Python, text, and graphics files. Here are several ways you can get the source.
- Get a zipball (.zip file).
- git clone git@github.com:lqbrin/tea-time-linear.git
- See Tea Time Linear Algebra at github.
Minimally, you will need a LyX installation to view and edit the textbook source files. Other tools are required to view and edit the diagram source files. Besides the software highlighted above, GIMP and the command line utilities pdfcrop and pdfseparate were used in the creation of the text.
As are the textbook and SageMath, all the tools used to create this textbook are open source projects. You may download and use them free of charge, and even study and modify their source code if you wish.
